2400231 - Error message: 'Maintain Valuation Intervals From DD.MM.YYYY For Valuation View X of Fixed Asset ABC'

The error message: 'Maintain Valuation Intervals From DD.MM.YYYY For Valuation View X of Fixed Asset ABC' (where ABC stands for the fixed asset ID) is displayed while executing a Depreciation for a Particular Fixed Asset/ Manual Posting for Acquisition

SAP Business By Design

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to the Fixed Assets sub view.
3. Show All Fixed Assets and select Fixed Asset ABC.
4. Select View all at the top right of the screen.
5. The error message: 'Maintain valuation intervals from DD.MM.YYYY for valuation view X of fixed asset ABC' is displayed.

This Error is displayed while executing a Depreciation for a Particular Fixed Asset/ Manual Posting for Acquisition and the reason for this is when the  validity Start Date of the valuation interval of the Fixed Asset is on or before the first date of the fiscal year.  

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to the Fixed Assets sub view.
3. Show All Fixed Assets and select the Fixed Asset ABC.
4. Click on the Master data Tab and Asset Valuation sub tab.
5. Further in the Valuation Intervals Sub tab and in the Start Date field.
6. Enter first date of the fiscal year and click on Save button.
