2400818 - SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: database does not exist

Symptom

During the installtion of S/4 HANA 1610 using SWPM  you see the following error:

An error occurred while processing option SAP S/4HANA 1610 > SAP S/4HANA Server > SAP HANA Database > SAP Systems > Application Server ABAP > Standard System > Standard System( Last error reported by the step: Error during execution of HdbCmdClazz ‘GET_LIVECACHE_NODE’ : class com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.CmdClazzParameterFactory, parameters received. Start execution. Check HdbCmdOut.log and HdbStdout.txt for further information. <time stamp>| com.sap.hdb.core.main.cmd.HdbCmdMain | com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to <hostname>[SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: database ‘<SID>’ does not exist].)
