2402223 - dbcc checktable incorrectly clear suspect index and find errors 806 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Run the checktable on a index corrupt table.
  • Run CHECKTABLE/CHECKINDEX/CHECKDB after shrinking a database containing a table with suspect index
  • dbcc checks find some errors that can be inconsistence in header of index pages, incorrect key order, row number, etc.

dbcc checktable (table name)
Msg 2512, Level 16, State 3:
Line 1:
Table Corrupt: Cannot find the specified row number 0, in index page 3080,

Msg 806, Level 16, State 1:
Line 1:
Could not find virtual page for logical page 1538 in database 'db_name'.
DBCC execution completed. If DBCC printed error messages, contact a user with
System Administrator (SA) role.
