2403397 - EPM Add-in error "Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Vbe.Interop.Forms"

Symptom

  • After upgrading to Office 2016, or applying MS KB 4013886 to Excel 2013 to be build 15.0.4911.1000, the following error occurs when trying to logon to EPM Add-in:

The type initializer for 'FPMXLClient.ReportManagement.FormattingSheet' threw an exception.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Vbe.Interop.Forms, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

  • Some customer also report selecting "View Formats" menu from EPM add-in cause Excel 2013(build 15.0.4911.1000) crash, thefore EPMFormattingSheet is not generated. This issue didn't occur till MS KB 4013886 was applied on Excel 2013.
