2404403 - You get an error "System setting does not allow you to change & & &." when you try to edit an object

When you try to edit some object in your system or you do some other actions which are to change some objects, you get the following error:

System setting does not allow you to change & & &.(<Program ID> <Object Type>  <Object Name>).

Message no. TR006

Diagnosis

The object <Program ID> <Object Type>  <Object Name> is assigned to the software component <Component Name> through its package.
This software component is not modifiable in this SAP System.

System Response

The function terminates.

Procedure for System Administration

Check whether you can modify software component <Component Name>

You can set the modifiability of software components in the Transport Organizer Tools under Administration ->Set System Change Option.
