2404633 - Error: "Location XYZ already exists" when you are trying to create a New Location for Site.

When we are trying to create a New Location XYZ for Site KLM. System triggers error message as below.*XYZ refers ro Location id , KLM refers to Site id, PQR refers to Site id

- Location XYZ already exists.
- Save failed.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center.
2. Go to Locations View.
3. Choose Site KLM and Select New Location.
4. Fill in all mandatory fields like Location ID, Location Name , Country etc
5. Select Save.

- Location XYZ already exists.
- Save failed.

As a Location XYZ already exists for Site PQR, System does not allow us to create another location with the same ID XYZ even if we are trying to create for different Site KLM.

We need to maintain a unique Location ID.
