Symptom

Searching via People Search with User ID yields no results

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Cause

  • Employee Central not enabled

Resolution

  • Searching while utilizing user_sys_id in the global search field is unsupported
  • "PersonExternalId" is only supported when Employee Central is enabled 
  • Userid Search will only function if "personExternalId" is set as the same value of user_sys_id, then we can say user_id is supported
