2404785 - Warning message for item revision: There is a new item revision available for this item. Do you wish to access this new revision instead?

For scenarios where there are two active revisions of the same item, when users launch an old revision, they are prompted with the option to access the new revision of the learning item. This option consists of a pop-up warning stating, "There is a new item revision available for this item. Do you wish to access this new revision instead?". If they choose to access the new item revision, it is added to their learning plan.

On the Legacy Learning Home Page, the pop-up appears regardless of whether the user clicks "Start Course" or "Continue Course" directly from their Learning Plan or the item's Details Page.

On the New Learning Home Page, the pop-up only appears if the user clicks "Start Course" or "Continue Course" directly from the item's Details Page. 

According to the Product Management Team, revision verification is currently not supported in the New Learning Home Page. Therefore, the absence of this specific pop-up when the user clicks "Start Course" or "Continue Course" from their learning home page is a limitation of the new ILX. They acknowledge this as a parity issue with the legacy version, yet this functionality has not been included by design since ILX's launch.

Adding this functionality in future releases is on our roadmap, but there is no confirmed timeline at this stage. 

Customers may create an enhancement request to have this functionality modified in future versions of the LMS. Please refer to KBA 2090228 - How to Submit Ideas for SAP SuccessFactors Products for more information on how to submit requests. Enhancement requests bring more visibility to such necessities for our development teams. Sharing the idea in the SAP Community is a good practice to engage other customers in voting for the idea.
