2405049 - "Free Text" doesn't allow to enter date manually in filter

Symptom

Can not create date filters in Ad Hoc Reporting using the free text format. It always force to use a drop down selection, which makes it manual search through all date/timestamps found in the report for a suitable value.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new ad hoc report selecting any domain
  2. Enter all the required measures
  3. Go to Filter tab
  4. Select any date field stored with time stamp
  5. It is not possible to enter it using Free text
  6. It only allows to select from the values which are already saved.

Expected behaviour

Resolution

Entering a date is fine but time stamp captures data in seconds and it is not feasible to enter it exact.
