2405151 - Difference in Percentage of Completion for Projects with Services

You create a project of type  Project Sales (Fixed Price) and Accrual Method Recognize at completed Contract.
The calculated Percentage of Completion (PoC) differs from what you expect, as services are not considered in the Revenue Recognition Run.

1. Go to Cost and Revenue WorkCenter
2. Select  Project XYZ
3. Click Edit Percentage of Completion
4. See column Calculated POC

The calculated Percentage of Completion (PoC) differs from the Percentage of Completion (PoC) you expect

1. Go to subview Periodic Tasks - Revenue Recognition
2. Select the Revenue Recognition Run for the respective Period
3. Navigate to Processed Successfully - Advanced Information
4. Calculate Insurred Costs/Planned Costs

The percentage differs from what you expect. You expect that the Revenue Recognition Run also includes provided Services but these are not listed and calculated in the run.

A Revenue Recognition Run only includes Revenues that are in status Finished, Completed or Stopped.
With regards to Services this is dependent on the Posting Date of the Revenue Recognition Run and the Provision Date of the Time Confirmations.

1. Go to Cost and Revenue WorkCenter
2. Subview Porjects
3. Select Project XYZ and click View All
4. Navigate to Work tab
5. Click Display Time Confirmations
6. Check the Provision Date

Have a look at the Provision Date and also if the check box Completed is marked.

1. Go to subview Periodic Tasks - Revenue Recognition
2. Select the Revenue Recognition Run for the respective Period
3. Navigate to Postings tab Accounts
4. Check Posting Date

In case the Provision Date of the Service is after the Posting Date of the Reveneue Recognition Run the system will not consider the Service as it is not
Finished, Completed or Stopped at that time. The check box Completed is not marked.
Run the Revenue Recognition Run with Posting Date after Provision Date and the Service will be in the included in the calculation of the Percentage of Completion (PoC).
