Symptom

  • During an installation of a patch of BI, installation fails at the prerequisite stage with the following error:

    "Failed: Minimum support package version (Critical)
    Information: This update is for SAP BusinessObjects BI platform 4.2, which was not found on the system. You must install it before this installation can continue."
