2407017 - Cannot register mobile devices using SAP Hybrid Web Container (HWC) application on iOS 10.0.1 and higher

Symptom

After upgrading iOS on an Apple device, Hybrid Web Container (HWC) application cannot registered on SAP Mobile Platform. It only occurs if all of the following conditions are true:

  • iOS version is 10.0.1 / 10.1.1 / 10.2
  • Afaria client is installed
  • Touch ID is enabled

When launching the HWC application, instead of redirecting to the Afaria client, the HWC application is getting closed. Therefore, no new mobile registrations are possible.

(If Afaria is not installed, or Touch ID is not enabled, it works fine.)
