2407291 - Auto delegated workflow is not going to Delegatee - Employee Central

Auto delegated workflow stays with the approver itself and is not going to the delegatee even though admin configures Auto Delegation in Manage Data.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Login as Administrator
2. Go to Manage Data > Create > Auto Delegate Config > Assign Auto Delegation to any approver.
3. Login as a random employee and raise the workflow that would go to the same approver.
4. Workflow is still with the original approver and is not auto delegated to the delegatee.

The triggered workflow is configured with "Is Delegate Supported"=No or the Approver from whom the workflow should go to delegatee is missing below permission:

Manage Workflows > Allow Auto Delegation

In order to be delegated the workflow needs to have the "Is Delegate Supported"=Yes. To check if the workflow triggered has the correct configuration you can follow the below steps:

1. Configure a rule trace following the KBA 2257064 - Employee Central - Business Rule Execution Log
2. Trigger the workflow
3. Download the rule trace and check the last workflow that was set
4. Go to Manage Organisation, Pay and Job Structures
5. Search for the workflow mentioned in the rule trace
6. Make sure the workflow has the correct configuration "Is Delegate Supported"=Yes

In case the above configuration is correct it is important to validate that the Approver from whom the workflow is redirected to Delegatee has the "Allow Auto Delegation" permission.

1. Open Manage Permission Roles
2. Navigate to the permission role of the Approver and validate if the following permission is granted:
3. Manage Workflows > Allow Auto Delegation.
4. If the permission is missing, add it.
