Native/Hybrid Mobile Applications are deployed to SMP that rely on LDAP security profile for authentication purposes. SMP is generating constant outbound traffic toward the Domain Controller.
If the SMP environment is clustered that this is multiplied by the number of nodes.
The java process executed by the smpserviceuser user that constantly issues verbose LDAP FULL SCAN requests against the Active Directory services.
The number of scan requests are not in relation to the number of concurrent users.
This additional overhead could cause the domain controller to be overloaded, thus leaving the Active Directory services to be unavailable.
Additionally a version of Willy Introscope is used to monitor the SMP JVM agents hardware usage.
The process is the following:
D:\SAP\MobilePlatform3\sapjvm_8\bin\java.exe -XtraceFile= -Dcom.sap.mobile.platform.server.home -Djava.class.path -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError -XX:+DisableExplicitGC -Xms -Xmx -XX:PermSize= -XX:MaxPermSize= -XX:ErrorFile=./log/error.log -XX:HeapDumpPath=./log/heap_dump.hprof -Djava.io.tmpdir=./work/tmp -Djava.endorsed.dirs=lib/endorsed -Dosgi.logfile=./log/osgi.log -DsecretKey= -DsecretKeylength= -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=D:\\SAP\\MobilePlatform3\\Introscope_Agent\\wily\\core\\config\\IntroscopeAgent_smp.profile -Dcom.wily.introscope.agent.agentName= -XX:-UseSplitVerifier org.eclipse.equinox.launcher.Main -console localhost:2401
