This article describes the ability to export and print a single position card or all the position cards that are displayed on Position Tile.

Enabling Export and Print on Position Tile

The Position Tile view no longer supports the BI Publisher template to print position cards. Instead a new BIRT template needs to be uploaded via Provisioning to make the Print work.
To enable and upload the BIRT templates, please follow the instructions provided in the Knowledge Base Article 2385170 - How to enable Export and Print on Position Tile.

 

Exporting and printing the positions on Position Tile

It is currently possible to either export/print a single position card, or all the position cards that are displayed on Position Tile.

To export/print a single position card:

1. Hover over the position tile, then the “print” icon will be displayed in the card. Click the icon to print:

2. A pop-up window will be presented with the templates available on your instance. Choose one option to print the card:

3. A document with the position card selected will be generated.

 

To export/print all position cards:

1. Click the "Export All Positions" icon, above the filter options:

2. The same pop-up window will be presented with the templates available on your instance. Choose one option to print all cards.
3. A document with all the position cards will be generated.

 

Understanding the Print layout

1. In the top left corner, you can see the Position Title and the Criticality of the Position;
2. In the top right corner, you can see the name(s) of the incumbent(s) and the number of incumbent(s) in this position;
3. Under "Rating" column, the first line indicates the performance-potential rating, while the second line indicates only the performance rating of the successors;
4. The competency section lists competencies of the successors, ordered by gaps. Gaps are calculated based on the successors’ current role requirements.
