2407835 - How to change the email address of your ADMIN / tenant owner (Contact Person IT) user in SAP Analytics Cloud (BOC)

Symptom

  • Since wave 2017.7 the admin account becomes system owner. The system owner is a role and can be transferred to another user. One user must always be assigned to the system owner role.
  • The account that is currently the system owner won't allow you to change the email address. If you roll-over the email that is currently disabled you will see the message: The email of the System Owner cannot be modified.

How to change the current ADMIN / tenant owner (Contact Person IT) email?

This is a two-step process. As mentioned before, this change is disabled for the role System_Owner since SAP Analytics Cloud uses an SAP Cloud Identity (SCI) identity provider to authenticate users.

  1. Move the role System_Owner to another account using the new functionality.
  2. Now you can change the email or delete the account.
