2408854 - Duration of Automatically Created Intercompany Project

Symptom

The Intercompany Project ABC (ABC refers to ID of the project) has the duration defaulted to 1 Day.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales Order Work Center.
  2. Select Sales Order View.
  3. Search for the Sales Order XYZ(XYZ refers to the sales order ID) that was created automatically from the intercompany relevant Purchase Order.
  4. Select View All button.
  5. Navigate to Document Flow.
  6. Select the hyperlink of the Intercompany Project.
  7. Navigate to the Intercompany Project ABC(ABC refers to ID of the project).
  8. Go to Basic Data tab you can see the Duration is defaulted to 1 day.
  9. Navigate to Scheduling tab you can see the Start Date and End Date being same.

Cause

As a standard system behaviour, When an intercompany project is automatically created, the system will automatically set its duration to one day and its start and finish dates to be the same.
However, you can overwrite the duration under Project Plan Tab.

Resolution

This is the expected system behaviour.
