Symptom

  • ASE abruptly terminates when running in process kernel mode.
  • ASE errorlog reports some or all of the following messages:
    • uppwakeup: kpid = -1073645393 not within range

    • Current process (0x57a10823) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
      Address 0x0x00000000016646be (upprekill+0x4e), siginfo (code, addre ss) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000918)

    • Current process (0x58a12345) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
      Address 0x0x0000000001664d11 (kpproc_kill+0xb1), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000000000000011)
