2409272 - SAP Marketing Apps not opening in the SAP Marketing Cloud after Upgrade


After Release upgrade of SAP Marketing Cloud or after applying a Hotfix some Apps are not opening or some Tiles are not loading in the SAP Marketing Cloud.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAP Marketing Cloud 
  2. Observe that some tiles are not loading
    Observe that some apps cannot be opened
  3. In the Browser Console you might find the following information:
    UI5 View creation failed - type Error: Cannot read property 'filter' of undefined


With the upgrade of the SAP Marketing Release, the MetaData Schema for the OData calls might have changed. The Browser may contain the cached calls, that are failing.


Clear the Browser Cache.

IE Browser Cache:

  1. Click on Tools in the left hand menu (or the gear cog on top right) -> Internet Options.
  2. Under the General tab, in the Browsing History, click on Delete.
  3. In the popup, check all the checkboxes except "Preserve Favorites website data".
  4. Click Delete.

Firefox Browser Cache:

  1. Click on the menu button ((3 horizontal bars, top right).
  2. Click on Options.
  3. Under the Advanced tab, select the Network tab.
  4. Under the Cached Web Content, click on Clear Now.

 Chrome Browser Cache:

  1. Click on the menu icon (3 horizontal bars, top right).
  2. Select Tools.
  3. Select Clear browsing data.
  4. On the "Obliterate the following items from:" dropdown, select "the beginning of time".
  5. Select all the checkboxes.
  6. Click on Clear browsing data.

Safari Browser Cache:

  1. From the Safari menu bar, click Safari -> Preferences.
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  3. Select "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
  4. Click on Develop -> Empty Caches.
