2409376 - Attachment File Size Error (Document Attachment -> Attachment user limit)

There is an error when users try to upload files/attachments

• Receives error messages when trying to upload an attachment into a portlet in the profile manually.
• The Error Message :"The total file size exceeds the user size limit of 100,000 kilobytes".However, the file which is being uploaded is less than a given amount kb ex 500KB.
• Also when trying to upload the same attachment for another user,it is successful without any error.
• Is there a limit that users can attach or upload into the system?
• How to setup a attachment user limit via Document Attachment in Company System and Logo Settings?

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

1. Login into the Success factor instance.
2. Home > Employee file > Any portlet where file can be uploaded (for example Time Off)
3. Click on edit option in the portlet.
4. Select the document to be uploaded in the portlet and then click on save.
5. The error message is displayed informing the "The total file size exceeds the user size limit of 100,000 kilobytes"

Issue is occurring as Company System and Logo Settings -> Document Attachment -> Attachment user limit value is set to 100MB (or lower value), this limits the users to upload just until the choosen on from the setting (screenshot below).

To solve this customers need to adjust the Attachment user limit through above settings. Following the steps below:

1. Login with an admin user with access to Company System and Logo Settings 
2. Go to Company System and Logo Settings 
3. Scroll down to the Document Attachment section;
4. Update the field Attachment user limit to a higher limit or to no limit;
5. Click Save Company System Setting;

NOTE for SUPPORT and Partners: Same setting is available to be checked via Provisioning -> Company Setting -> Document Attachment -> Attachment user limit;
