You are migrating Accounting Transaction Data related to Fixed Assets and when you choose Simulate Import, the error message is shown as

Current Year Postings Not Allowed as Migration Date is Last Day of Year.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration Work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Go to Project and Choose Open Activity List.
4. Go to Integrate and Extend tab.
5. Show All Activities and Find Activity Migration of Accounting Transaction Data.
6. Select the Migration file for Fixed Assets and Choose Execute Migration.
7. In c - Simulate Import step, error message is shown.

Ensure that the Validation Date is maintained as the Last Day of the Fiscal Year and Movement Category as 07 - Migration of Accumulated Values (Last Period Previous Year) instead of 08 - Migration of Accumulated Values (Current Year) as it is only used for mid-year migrations.

System behaves as designed. Please change the values for Movement Transaction Category and Valuation Date by following the steps below:

1. Open the Migration File.
2. Go to Asset Posting Lines tab.
3. Go to Item Details and you could see the Movement Transaction Category and Valuation Date.
