2410089 - RBP Troubleshooting: How to check User Login Permission?

Symptom

  • Users cannot login to the system.
  • Can we check if a user has the required permissions to login?
  • How to use the RBP troubleshooting tool?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Resolution

Please follow the below steps to check the login permission for a particular user:

  1. Go to "RBP Troubleshooting" feature.
  2. "User Role and Permission Search";
  3. Add the User in "Access User";
  4. Click on "Search";
  5. Then you will see another search field that says "Search with permission or role";
  6. Search for "User Login" then hit "Enter" button.

If the "User Login" permission is in the list, the user has the permission to login to the application.

If the "User Login" permission is missing, the user does not have permission to login to the application.

The same behavior explained above works for API users.  If the API user do not have the "User Login" permission, it will not be possible to login to the application, but API calls in OData and SFAPI can be done.

NOTE: Super Admin Users created in provisioning do not need this permission to login. Such users will be able to login to the system even though they don't have "User Login" permission.

NOTE: If this permission is already assigned to a group that contains all users, removing such permission will take away the ability to login from all users.
