2410413 - Take rule is triggered upon cancelling a leave request

You have observed that Take Rules are triggering while cancelling a leave request.

1. Navigate to 'Time off' Page of an employee

2. Click on Cancel request

3. The Take Rule (i.e Raise Error Message) assigned to the Time Type is triggered.

This is expected behavior. Take rules are also triggered when you cancel a leave.

You can add an additional condition in the rule, such as “IF Employee Time.Approval Status IS NOT EQUAL TO Cancelled” to avoid this type of behavior.
