2411575 - Error "Could not open app. Please try again later." seen in IE when exiting app

Symptom

  • When navigating back to the Launchpad from an application, the error "Could not open app. Please try again later." is displayed.
  • The problem does not exist when performing the same steps in another browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
  • In the F12 developer tools console log for IE, the error seen is: 
    "TypeError: Unable to get property 'tagName' of undefined or null reference"
