2412709 - Signal 11 in s_execclearvar() when using Java client - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A client is disconnected from ASE.
  • ASE errorlog reports a "infected with signal 11" error in the module s_execclearvar() together with a stacktrace:

Current process (...) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x000000008040c3ec (s_execclearvar+0x2c)

  • The stacktrace can vary, it may not contain all of the below and can show other functions depending on what type of statement is being executed:

s_execclearvar
tdsrecv__process_batchparam
tdsrecv_language

Note: An example of a complete stack trace is available under Attachments.
