2413393 - How to record timelines in Chrome Developer Tools in case of SAP Analytics Cloud performance issues

• Performance problems being observed in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Product Support has requested to provide the timeline .json file about the problematic workflow.

• SAP Analytics Cloud
• Google Chrome
• Microsoft Edge

Note: Please do not perform a network trace as referenced in 2280022 - How to collect a HTTP archive (HAR) file in SAP Analytics Cloud. Please run them separately.

1. Log into SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Make sure that you are not using an incognito / private window.
2. Open Chrome (or Edge) Developer Tools (DevTools) by pressing F12 or Ctrl+Shift+I.
3. Select the Performance tab. See Performance Analysis Reference for more information. 
4. Before you start recording, you should first queue up the browser to the beginning of the problematic workflow that you wish to record.
5. Click Record.
6. Replicate the workflow where the performance problem is observed.
7. Stop recording.
   
   
   
8. Right click and "Save Timeline data..."
   
   
   
9. Select the path to save the timeline .json file.
