2413724 - Not able to access How vs What Matrix Grid Configuration page in Admin Center

When user tries to access the How vs What Matrix Grid configuration page in Admin Center, the system displays a message informing that the user does not have the necessary permissions to access the given page: "You do not have permission to execute any Administrative or Human Resources functions" OR it cannot be searched for in the Admin Center,

However, on Role-Based Permissions (RBP), the user has the permission "How vs What Configuration" enabled for their permission role.

Case 1: 

1. Go to Admin Center > Matrix Grid Reports: How vs What;
2. System informs that user does not have the necessary permissions:

3. Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles;
4. Select the user's permission role;
5. The permission "How vs What Configuration", under "Manage Succession" is enabled:

Case 2: 

1. Go to Admin Center > Matrix Grid Reports: How vs What;
2. Cannot find the tool
3. Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles;
4. Select the user's permission role;
5. The permission "How vs What Configuration", under "Manage Succession" is enabled:

To access the How vs What configuration page in Admin Center, it is required to have access to both of the following:

• How vs What Configuration;
• Performance-Potential Configuration.

The How vs What Matrix Grid Report is dependent on the Performance-Potential Matrix Grid Report. However, the opposite is not true, as to access the Performance-Potential configuration page, users does not necessarily need to have the "How vs What Configuration" enabled.

Case 1: 

It is necessary to grant the permission "Performance-Potential Configuration", for the users to be able to access the How vs What Configuration page in Admin Center.

1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles;
2. Select the desired permission role;
3. Under "Manage Succession" enable the permissions "How vs What Configuration" and "Performance-Potential Configuration":

Case 2: 

When the "Matrix Grid How Vs. What Report (9-Box)" option is enabled in Provisioning without the "Matrix Grid Report (9-Box)" option being enabled, you will not be able to access the configuration pages.

If only one Matrix Grid is required in the system then only the "Matrix Grid Report (9-Box)" option should be enabled and the "Matrix Grid How Vs. What Report (9-Box)" should be disabled.

The "Matrix Grid Report (9-Box)"  and the "Matrix Grid How Vs. What Report (9-Box)" can be renamed and configured the same and there is no functional difference between the two.

Note: If both the "Matrix Grid Report (9-Box)"  and the "Matrix Grid How Vs. What Report (9-Box)" are enabled in the system, users who have "Matrix Grid Report" permission will access to both in Succession Management as they cannot be permissoned separately.
