2414680 - RAT hits Signal 11 in kbfalloc() - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE server was upgraded to ASE 16.0 SP02 PL05.
  • After Replication Agent has been shut down,
  • ASE errorlog reports an"infected with signal 11" error in the module kbfalloc():

Current process (0x2a70154) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x0000000001e6d333 (kbfalloc+0x4a3), siginfo (code, address) = (2, 0x0x00007fffeda6acb0)

  • The error is followed by a stack trace with functions:

kbfalloc
ubfallocf
ra_mempool_alloc_internal
ra_malloc_mempool
ra__cilib_malloc_wrapper_with_ctx

  • Streaming replication mode is enabled.
