2414763 - Bulk PIN Reset

Symptom

Customer would like to do a massive PIN reset for users.

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

Currently Learning does not have a tool to perform a massive change for PIN.

Resolution

The PIN reset needs to be done individually on the user's record > Actions > Reset E-Signature PIN.

However, if all users PIN need to be changed, you can set the PIN expiration for 1 day, this way all PINs will expire in one day and then you could change the configuration back.

This would only apply if all PINs should be changed. If there are some that should not be changed, then this process will not be adequate.

To configure the PIN expiration, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to System Administration > Configuration > Global Application Settings >
  2. Find the setting 'Enable PIN Expiration' checkbox and enable it >
  3. Set the PIN expiration to 1 day on the field 'PIN expires after' >
  4. Click the 'Apply Changes' button.

Please review below a screenshot that illustrate this procedure:

Please note that, for the field 'Enable PIN Expiration' be selectable, the setting 'Enable electronic signatures' also needs to be enabled.

NOTE: Alternatively, to have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it (as per KBA 2090228), where the Learning Product Management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
