2414787 - DUMP DATABASE with VERIFY=FULL reports a fixed-row status error, but DBCC CHECKTABLE doesn't report it - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When dumping a database using the command with 'verify=full', Backup Server may generate the following error in Backup Server errorlog:

Page Verification Error: Page xxx, object xxxxxxxx, index x, level x, was found with fixed-row status improperly set.
SYBMULTBUF WARNING: One or more errors have been reported while performing consistency checks on the pages being dumped. The affected pages will be reread in an attempt to discard spurious errors.
SYBMULTBUF WARNING: After rereading the pages, the consistency check has continued to report one or more errors.
Database testdb: Verification reported 1 errors.

  • 'dbcc checktable' on the same object does not report any error.
