2415905 - BI CMS not starting on Sybase ASE

Symptom

  • Business Objects Central Management Server (CMS) is not starting/slow when using Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) as the CMS repository database
  • If the CMS does not start up one of the following is appearing when enabling BI tracing on the CMS:
    • Enabling tracing on the CMS process will shown either the last line as shown below - in this case the CMS process will crash:

      querystring (select SI_AUTO_CLEANUP_DAYS from ci_appobjects where si_cuid='AfHzkEDjGvZBughFhdtIIdg')

    • The log file will contain the following message part way through the log: 

      SIServerController:run: Fail to initialize or uninitialize. Reason is The root server reported an error Initialization Failure. (Reason: CMS system database is overloaded, please try again. If the problem persists, please contact the system administrator(FWB 00027)CMS system database is overloaded, please try again. If the problem persists, please contact the system administrator(FWB 00027) CacheObjectIDs
