Symptom
- Manually posted adjustment balance does not reflect in Account Postings of the the employee's time account
- Manual adjustment balance only shows up in account posting when time account is shown as of future date
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
Navigate to the employee Time Accounts tab in Absence Management Workbench and observe that manual adjustment is missing in account postings.
When time account is shown in a future date, the manual adjustment balance is shown and remaining time account balance is correctly shown. The adjustment is as well visible when time account of the employee is checked in Manage Data.
Cause
Accrual rule assigned to the Time Account Type is incorrectly configured.
For accrual rules, the posting type in the rule condition should ONLY be set to 'Accrual'. If in case account balances are created through manual adjustments and not via accrual calendars, the time account type should have no Accrual Frequency Period set.
Resolution
In case balances have already been created through manual adjustments for the employee's time account, editing the time account type is no longer allowed. In this scenario, assign an empty accrual rule to the time account type.
