Cancellation workflow email notification is sent on editing pending Time off request.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time off

First Scenario:

1. Go to an employee’s Time off page -> Click on edit of an existing leave request pending for approval.
2. Add/Edit the comment-> Click on Submit.
3. A cancellation workflow notification is sent to the employee and the manager.

Second Scenario:

• Edit and cancel a pending leave (cancellation workflow also activated)
• Two cancellation notifications are sent (only one should be sent for the pending cancellation)

This is currently an expected behavior.

• This behavior will be enhanced in 2H 2025 release with the enhancement "TIM-5561".
• After the enhancement, only one email will be sent.
