Symptom

  • When RfcOpenEx is used to open a connection to an SAP system, the following error may return to the application:

    group   : 103
    key     : RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE
    message : Timeout
  • The error below could also be found in the RFC trace on the external side:

    >>> RfcOpenEx ...
    ...
    >>> Timeout during logon check
    ...
    <<< RfcOpenEx failed
