2416813 - Custom String Field Not Available for Concatenation in Business Rule

The custom-string field associated with picklist configured in Manage Business Configuration is not available in substring and concatenate functions.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central: Business Rules

1. Navigate to Manage Business Configuration.
2. Create, Enable a custom-string field associated with picklist.
3. 
4. The field is configured in Job Information
5. 
6. Configure a business rule to use the custom-string field.
7. The custom-string field is available for selection in “Set”.
8. 
9. But the custom-string field “Sub Family” is not available for concatenation.
10. 

Concatenate() function does not apply for custom-string fields associated with picklist, Foundation Object or Generic Object fields
