Symptom

In freshly installed SAP BW/4HANA systems you notice problems such as:

  • Dumps during activation of business content (e.g. in transaction RSOR)

ABAP Program SAPLRRMS

  • System errors

BRAIN299 System error in program CL_RS_BASE and form INIT_CHANMID_BUFFER

  • Tasklists in STC01 abort

 In the task list, SAP_BW4_SETUP_SIMPLE,  Task Set BW4/HANA Operation Mode is aborting with the error “BW/4HANA: Scope mismatch. Installed Sciope: 0. Needed Scope: 16”
