Symptom

When attempting to upload an image as a user that is creating a QuickGuide, an error stating "The selected file could not be uploaded. File type must be one of the following:" is seen.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

The list of file extensions supported by QuickGuide is not configured in USER GENERATED CONTENT System Configuration file.

Resolution

In Learning Administration:

  1. Go to System Administration
  2. Configuration
  3. System Configuration
  4. Edit USER GENERATED CONTENT property file >
  5. Add the desired image formats after the "=", separating them with a ";".

Example: supportedFileExtensions=*.jpeg;*.gif;*.png;*.jpg
