2418297 - Error "The following fields have invalid value" Add New Hire - Employee Central

During a new hire an error is faced: "The following fields have invalid value: XXX".
Please note that there was a code issue prior 2H Releases which the system was not throwing error message. However this error message is expected to appear when invalid configuration exist.

Example:

• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Add new employee 
2. Add all the required information until job information section
3. When clicking continue from Job Information to Compensation receive the error "The following fields have invalid value: [field names]".

This is due an association configuration issue.

The error is caused generally when fields are set business rules, however fields are already wrongly associated with each other due to missing or invalid configuration.

You will need to find out the missing association value by finding out all the associations for the fields shown in the error.

You can use Check Tool for Employee Central Core -> Run check tool for all checks you will see error like following:
