2418334 - Is it possible to add an approval process over AICC Wrapper completion?

Symptom

For a content that has AICC Wrapper enabled, when the user clicks on 'Agree' on the content level, is it possible to trigger an approval process to the manager? The expectation is that such item's completion should be recorded only after the manager's approval.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Resolution

Currently, there is no direct functionality in the system via which this behavior can be achieved.

As an alternative, it's possible to enable the E-signature in the system, by applying approval process over the completion status:

  1. To enable E-signature:
    1. Please navigate to Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > Global Application Settings >
    2. Enable the setting '
  2. Then navigate to the completion status related to the item, which needs to get the approval process enabled for it:
    1. At Learning Administration > References > Manage User Learning > Completion Status >
    2. Search for the required completion status and open it in edit mode >
    3. Enable the option 'Enable electronic signature' >
    4. At the 'Approval Process' field, select the required approval process >
    5. To save the changes, click on 'Apply Changes'.

  3. After the above, assign the item to the required users:
    1. At the user side, after the user launches the content and clicks on 'Agree', they'll have an unverified completion event (which requires the user's E-signature) >
    2. Once submitted by the user, an E-signature verification will be required from the manager as well >
    3. The item completion will be recorded only after the approver submits their approval.
