2418767 - Variant is missing after upgrade

Symptom

You have upgraded your system and you notice that the variants of the some reports (e.g S_PL0_86000028, S_PL0_86000030)  are missing.
You have run transaction codes FDIR, FDIQ, FGIQ and FKIQ to import forms and regenerate the reports but the variants are still missing for some drilldown reports.
