2419006 - Defining the EC Salary Pay Matrix - Compensation Management

If we try to enable the “Use EC salary pay matrix” functionality with the current template configuration we receive different Validation errors.

1. We need to define these fields in the Design Worksheet (custom fields). As an example (not necessarily these fields), these columns should be configured as read only columns. After making these columns as read only then you should be able to add as attribute in the EC pay matrix.

•  For Local Currency Code we might want to define the input as the Pay Component Group and the AnnualizedSalary component. That will trigger a new error message saying that if we define or map Local Currency Code that way we will also need to define or map Current Salary, Salary Type and Units per Year the same way.

• Once we have defined everything correctly we can go back to Plan Setup > Settings and enable the “Use EC salary pay matrix” defining the necessary fields as attributes.

1. The Salary pay matrix effective date should be the date when pay range information is effective in EC. Typically, this is the start date of the beginning of the compensation cycle.
2. For SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central integrated templates, the use of Adjust salary pay matrix will use annualized pay ranges if exact match cannot be found because of frequency. For example, for a monthly employee, if exact matching pay range cannot be found, Compensation will pick up the annual pay range. You don't need to create pay ranges of different frequencies for employees with different salary types.
