SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

2419014 - SMP MBO server databases are failing when writing to the database logs.

Symptom

  • SMP MBO server went down due to the databases not able to write to the log files.
  • All MBO server databases affected.
  • errorlog.log shows:
    E. 01/20 08:42:16. Fatal error:  A disk write to file "F:\SMPDB\CDB\default.log" failed with error code: (170)
    E. 01/20 08:42:17. Fatal error:  Internal error. clusterdb_log.log
    E. 01/20 08:42:29. Fatal error:  A disk write to file "F:\SMPDB\CDB\clusterdb.log" failed with error code: (170)
    E. 01/20 08:42:30. Fatal error:  Internal error. monitordb_log.log
    E. 01/20 08:42:21. Fatal error:  A disk write to file "F:\SMPDB\CDB\domainlogdb.log" failed with error code: (170)
    E. 01/20 08:42:21. Fatal error:  Internal error.
    I. 01/20 08:42:21. Database server shutdown requested via server console
