Symptom

The following error message is presented when navigating to Learning:

"java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method com.plateausystems.elms.bo.i18n.valueobject.I18nTimeZoneVO.getLabelID() of a null object loaded from local variable 'vo'"

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

Time Zone was not set on the user record

Resolution

  1. Go to Learning Administration
  2. Go to People > Users and search for the impacted user
  3. On the user record, find the Preferences tab
  4. Set a time zone
  5. Apply Changes
