2419113 - Fiori Remote Content is lost after system upgrade

Symptom

  • After upgrading your Fiori Launchpad on Portal (FLP@EP) system remote content that had been previously been maintained is lost
  • No other differences are noticed within the role itself
  • Checking the server developer/default trace log files you may see an error similar to the below:
    "Error while converting and adding a remote object My_Catalog/CATALOG/Z_MY_APP
    [EXCEPTION]
    com.sap.portal.navigation.ffp.RemoteObjectsPersistencyException: the remote object does not contain attribute com.sap.portal.ffp.sourceType
    at com.sap.portal.navigation.ffp.RemoteObjectsPersistencyService.getStringAttributeFromPcdAttributes(RemoteObjectsPersistencyService.java:359)"
