2419121 - Error "User does not have a default pay component for compensation. Please specify componentCode in output mapping" When Publishing to EC

Symptom

  • When publishing to Employee Central you are receiving an email notification detailing the following errors:
  • From Provisioning (available for Product Support & Partner only), notice the same result:

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Cause

  • None of the Pay Components to be published are defined with the field Used for Comp Planning as "Comp" or "Both". Instead this is defined as "None" or "Varpay”.
  • The system will therefore not be able to publish the information in EC for a completed form.

Resolution

  • The field Used for Comp Planning needs to be set to "Comp" or "Both" for one of the Pay Components being used for publishing.
  • To check this, navigate to "Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structures" from Admin Center> Employee Files.

  • Once this is updated you will be able to publish to EC without this error.
