2420175 - Lumira does not run in background tab when Chrome Browser is switched to new foreground tab

• Using Chrome, viewing a Lumira Document via SAP BI Launchpad.
• Once the view is initiated, switching to another tab, Lumira wil not process until the view tab is forced to be the foreground process.
• The same behavior is seen when using Microsoft Edge.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer does not exhibit this behavior.

• Using the Chrome browser, initiate a view of an SAP Lumira Document via the BI Launch Pad.
• Switch to another tab, thereby making the Lumira Viewer tab a background process.
• Processing of the Lumira Document will stop or significantly slow down.
• Returning to the Lumira Viewer tab will result in the processing of the Lumira Document to proceed.

• This is a normal behavior when using the Chrome browser.
• Chrome 56 introduced an optimization to throttle background tabs' timers.

• As this is the Chrome and Edge functionality, Lumira is constrained by the logic built in to the browsers. Therefore to keep Lumira runnning, it has to be in foreground.
