2421389 - How to set Earliest Retro Date

Symptom

To prevent changes of data in retro calulation sensitive portlets an earliest retro date can be set.This helps reduce data replication errors for changes too far in payroll past.This check applies to following portlets and UIs

  • History Portlets for Personal Information (Personal Information & Addresses) and Employment Information (Job Information & Compensation Information)
  • ESS/MSS Actions
  • Change Job and Compensation Info
  • Spot Bonus
  • Terminate/Rehire (Add New Employee and Rehire Inactive Employee)

Resolution

How to set the retro date:

  1. Got to Admin Center
  2. Manage Data open respective Pay Group

  1. Make Correction and set the date

  1. Processing a data change earlier as the configured retro date will trigger following message

Caveat: As you can see from the screen shot, the validation looks at dates prior to what date you set in the pay group

Important note: The retro date error will pop up when the date that the data is being entered is between the following dates

The effective date of the compensation information record that you were assigned to that pay group and the earliest retro date set on the pay group
