2422200 - Database goes offline when restored from encrypted dump - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When an encrypted database is restored from another instance, it goes to offline mode.
  • A master key is required to start the database.
  • Need to set encryption password for key master.
  • The database goes offline with following error:
    • The database '<SID>' is encrypted.
    • Msg 4001, Level 11, State 1:
    • Server '<SID>':
    • Cannot open default database '<SID>'.
