Scenario #1

This symptom occurs because selecting all members means no filter for the variable (empty == Select All). In case of mandatory variables it is not possible to close the prompt after choosing "Select All"/empty field. In this case the design of the query requires a filter in the variable to restrict the result set.

Scenarios #2 and #3

These symptoms occur because when searching for members without deselecting the members already selected, these members will remain selected, although they do not appear in the search result.

Scenario #1

For some specific business cases where it is necessary to add all members in the variable screen, this can be achieved by using the option "Explicit Selection":
