2423191 - Cannot hide "Employee Status" under Job Information using role-based permissions.


Is it possible to hide the Employee Status field in the Job Information section of an employee's profile through role-based permissions?

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Admin Center.
  2. Search for Manage Permission Role tool. 
  3. Click on a role.
  4. Click on the gray Permission button.
  5. Search for the Employee Status field.


You can not permission or hide this field. Employee Status field does not require permissions to view/edit/delete , as per system design.  A good rule of thumb is if you cannot see the field in BCUI or the data model, you cannot permission it.

Please note you can also not hide this field via a business rule. No event type (onInit, onview..) will successfully hide this field in all UI's.
